Desert Boy’s is a group of businesses in Jaisalmer involved in the tourism industry. This old Silk Route city of Jaisalmer is a golden fairytale fort on top of a rocky hill, dominating the surrounding Thar Desert. The city is famous for the beautiful havelis, temples, palaces and the Fort, all carved from the local golden sandstone.
Desert Boy’s group is owned and run by Pradeep Vyas, supported by his whole family who have lived in this wonderful Fort and in villages in the Thar Desert since time immemorial. Fiona Darcy from
Australia is a partner in the Desert Boy’s Farm. The group began as we felt quality, affordable options were required in Jaisalmer. There is Desert Boy’s Guest House, situated on the walls of the Fort,
above the city.
Eighteen rooms in a wonderful old haveli, on the Fort walls, overlooking the golden city of Jaisalmer and the desert. Each room is different and has a modern bathroom attached. The whole Guest House is
decorated with Rajasthani antiques, and colourful furnishings. Some rooms have golden sandstone carving, there are some balconies, views over courtyards, and vibrant draped ceilings, cushions and bedspreads.
There is a special collection of photographs of Thar Desert people and places mounted on the walls of the reception and around the hotel. Full time reception, a loyal and hardworking staff, all services
are available to guests. There is a restaurant on the rooftop for your convenience.
